Kusunoki Mebuki is a Hero (楠芽吹は勇者である Kusunoki Mebuki wa Yuusha de Aru?) or KuMeYu (くめゆ KuMeYu?) for short, is a light novel set to be serialized in Dengeki G's magazine. The serialization's release date is June 30, 2017. The story will be set in between Yuuki Yuuna's Chapter and Heroes' Chapter, accounting the events of a new team of heroes that were candidates at a point. The epilogue chapter takes place after the event of Heroes' Chapter. It mostly focuses on 5 certain characters, Kusunoki Mebuki, Miroku Yumiko, Kagajou Suzume, Yamabushi Shizuku, and their Miko, Kokudo Aya.

Plot[]
This story takes place in the Divine Era,300, Autumn. Kusunoki Mebuki had competed againstMiyoshiKarin to take the position ofMinowa Gin’s successor, butKarin had won leaving Mebuki ashamed and jealous. The girl is later on summoned to Kagawa’s Gold Tower where she is given the duty of a Sentinel,a job that requires investigating outside the wall the current heroes once stepped foot out of. Now Mebuki strives to become a worthy sentinel in order to prove to the Taisha that she is capable of becoming a hero. But Mebuki also starts to realize that she must protect her fellow comrades in order to do so.
