Every student is given a TAMU email address. To create and log in to your @email.tamu.edu email: Go to http://google.tamu.edu and click “Go to Google!” to Claim your Texas A&M Google account. Log into your University e-mail account using your NetID and password.
Make sure that you turned on Mail in Settings on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch. Tap Settings > [your name] > iCloud and turn on Mail. Make sure that new data is pushed to your device automatically. In iOS 14 or later, tap Settings > Mail > Accounts > Fetch New Data, then turn on Push.
Go to Settings > Mail, then tap Accounts. Tap Add Account, tap Other, then tap Add Mail Account. Enter your name, email address, password and a description for your account. Tap Next. Mail will try to find the email settings and finish your account setup.
You can find out by checking the settings for your email app – usually, it will state whether it's POP or IMAP under your email address, or in the 'server settings'. Alternatively, another way to access your emails is through webmail in an internet browser such as Google Chrome, Apple Safari, or Microsoft Edge.
Update your email app. Whether you're using Gmail or any other email service, you'll want to ensure you have the most up-to-date version to ensure as few issues as possible. You can check the Play Store for your apps' latest updates and downloads. Check email sync settings.
We recommend forwarding your NetID@tamu.edu email address to a personal email account and turning on email auto-reply as soon as you leave the university.
Go to Settings > Add Account > Add Email Account.Enter your full email address, then tap Add Account.Enter your information and tap Sign In. The above sign in screen will not properly fit your iPhone, so you will likely need to scroll a little.
